It’s important that you keep your personal details up to date via the student portal. You can do this when you register at the start of each academic year or anytime during your studies via the ‘My profile’ tile on your dashboard.
Your name
The name we have on our records must be your full legal name as it appears on official identity documents like your passport or driving licence. We need your full legal name as this will be displayed on official university documents like your transcript and degree certificate. If you have another name you like to use, you can record this alongside your legal name in the ‘known as’ field.
Contact details
It’s very important that we have accurate contact details for you on our records. We often need to contact students urgently so please ensure your home and term addresses are kept up to date and we have your current mobile phone number.
On the trusted contacts page in ‘My information’ we ask you to provide details of up to 2 people that we could contact urgently, for example, in the event of a medical emergency. Your trusted contacts can be family members or friends, but it is important that you have their permission to use their details.
